Yield

Terms of Use

Last updated · November 4, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and [Legal entity name] for the Yield app and this website. They are short on purpose. The parts that limit what we promise are in capitals so they are easy to find, not because we want to hide them.

01Summary

  • Yield helps you track and use the benefits on your credit cards. It is not financial advice.
  • You need to be an adult. You can use it without an account, or sign in with Google.
  • Benefit values are estimates from the issuer's published terms; the issuer's terms decide.
  • Connecting Gmail and using chat are optional, and each has limits described below.
  • Do not abuse the service, and do not rely on it for anything you cannot afford to get wrong.

02Who we are and what Yield is

Yield is made by [Legal entity name]. The app keeps track of the credit cards you hold, the offers and benefits attached to them, what each is worth to you, and what you have used. This website describes the app and links to it.

We are not a bank, a card issuer or a payment network, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.

03Eligibility and your account

  • You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract.
  • You can use Yield without creating an account; the app keeps an anonymous identity on your device. You can link a Google account later, and the app merges your anonymous data into it.
  • You are responsible for your device and for anyone who uses the app on it.
  • Tell us if you think someone else has used your account.

04Not financial advice

Yield shows information about card benefits as the issuers publish it, and estimates of what a benefit is worth based on what you tell us about how you use it. That is information, not advice. We are not your financial, legal or tax adviser.

The issuer's terms decide. Issuers change benefits, add conditions and make mistakes in their own documents. Before you rely on a benefit, check it with the issuer. We do not promise that any benefit exists, applies to you, or is worth what the app estimates.

Card names are references, not endorsements. We name cards and issuers so you can find yours. We are not affiliated with any of them.

05Gmail connection

If you connect a Gmail inbox, you give Yield read-only access to it so the app can find card statements and benefit emails. You can disconnect at any time in the app. What we read and keep is in the privacy policy. Only connect an inbox you are allowed to share.

06Chat

Chat answers are generated by third-party models from your question and the cards you hold. They can be wrong, out of date or incomplete. Treat them as a starting point, not a fact.

Do not type card numbers, passwords or other credentials into chat. We never ask for them.

07Your content

Reviews and ratings you write are yours. By posting them you give us a licence to show them in the app, to other users and in summaries, for as long as they are posted.

We may hide content that breaks these terms, is unlawful, or is not about the card or benefit it is attached to.

08Acceptable use

Do not:

  • scrape, copy or redistribute the benefit data in the app;
  • probe, overload or interfere with the service, or bypass its rate limits;
  • use the app through automated means other than the app itself;
  • impersonate someone else or misrepresent who you are;
  • use Yield for anything unlawful.

09Third-party services

Yield is distributed through Google Play and runs on Google Firebase and Google Cloud; chat uses third-party model providers; links in the app and on this site lead to issuers' own sites. Each of those is governed by its own terms, which you agree to separately.

10Changes to the service

Yield will change. Features will be added, altered and removed, and the service may be paused or ended. We will give notice in the app where we can.

11Termination

You can delete your account in the app at any time; the privacy policy says what happens to your data.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that we have to close for legal reasons. Where we can, we will say why.

12Disclaimers

YIELD IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. WE MAKE NO WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT BENEFIT INFORMATION, VALUES OR CHAT ANSWERS ARE ACCURATE, COMPLETE OR CURRENT. TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

13Limitation of liability

TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOST BENEFIT, CREDIT, POINTS, PROFIT OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF YIELD. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS.

Some laws do not allow these limits. Where that is the case, they apply only as far as the law allows, and nothing in these terms takes away rights you have that cannot be waived.

14Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of [Governing law, e.g. the State of New York, United States], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

If you have a problem, email us first; most things can be sorted out that way. If not, disputes will be resolved in the courts of [Governing law, e.g. the State of New York, United States].

15Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. If a change matters to you, we will say so in the app before it takes effect. Using Yield after a change means you accept it.
